I love Polish Pottery
I really love Polish Pottery. I don’t know if it shows....😂 of course it shows! It has been a very long time since I had a passion, for anything, the way I have for Polish Pottery. (This has nothing to do with inter personal relationships) Looking back on it, maybe never? My parents were and are not passion people. They did not really allow passion for anything other than, my brother’s sports. I am so not a sports person.
Do you remember back in the 1980’s, all the music bands had posters, promotional items like T-shirts or shoes, back stage VIP tours, stuff that all the teens were so passionate about? Yeah, not in my household. Hahaha....oh, the 80’s. So, you see, to wake up one day and actually have a spark of fire over something, it is a huge deal in my world. I do not take it lightly.
Polish Pottery is so totally amazing to me. The artistry of the pottery, the paintings by the artists, the shapes of the items, all of it, speaks to my soul. Each piece has its own, I don’t know the exact expression; but resonance, if you will. Even though there may be 57 other items painted similarly, this one item shines like none of the others. It calls to that one person who is meant to have it. Do you know what I mean? Have you experienced that? That metaphoric song you hear, when you look at your pottery, that is the passion.
I guess this is how the quilting bee ladies feel about quilts...oh, that is a story for another day. All I can say is, that it is nice to finally have something in my life that means something to me. That elicits an excitement and gives me something to look forward to. The joy Polish Pottery brings to my life is immeasurable. I am forever grateful to have found this love of mine.
You hit the nail on the head! Passion;)
